Faiszah A. Hamid

Faiszah is the pioneer in introducing the Psychological First Aid training for the public in Singapore when she was the Associate Director with the Singapore Red Cross Academy. She is also the Regional Trainer in the same field and has since trained various humanitarian and social organizations locally as well as overseas.
Today, Faiszah specializes on training and developing psychosocial-related skills and programmes. She is currently the Principal Consultant with Psychosocial Initiative Pte Ltd where she curates modules on psychological first aid, psychosocial support, crisis intervention, emotional and mental health awareness programmes.
Faiszah is the approved PFA trainer for the Ministry of Education (MOE) and has trained all the CARE officers and new counsellors for the Ministry. She is the Acting President of the Association of Psychotherapist and Counsellors, Singapore, (APACs) (2022 – 2024) and has conducted mental health talks for the association. On top of that, she is a member of the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Network, the Global Psychosocial Support Network and the Mental Health Academy.
Besides training, she volunteers to provide Psychological First Aid during real life crisis. She also provides counselling on a pro-bono basis with a local charity.

Chin Meng Leng

Chin Meng Leng is a veteran volunteer facilitator and coach on many fronts. An active trained scout leader, she has been serving the Boys Scouts of America (BSA) Troops based in Singapore since 2011. She is an International Service Team (IST), together with 8,000 adult learners serving 40,000 scouts and leaders from 152 countries.
With the Boys Scouts, Ms Chin serves as the Merit Badge Counsellor and Service Coordinator, where she coaches Life Scouts on their service projects. She is also part of the trainer pool for the BSA National Youth & Leadership Training Program.
Ms Chin volunteers for children with special needs as well. She facilitates their service learning experience through community travelling and field trip. She also mentors a befriender programme for students from higher learning institutions. On top of all that, she provides an adapted online remote psychological first aid training on a monthly basis to a local NGO’s befriending programme to migrant workers.

Gerard Goh

Gerard is a versatile trainer who has taught thousands of individuals in various subjects including Sales, Financial Education, and Entrepreneurship, as well as Mental Wellness, Psychotrauma, and Psychological First Aid. Participants have described him as approachable, knowledgeable, and funny.
Gerard is also trained as a psychotherapist with a focus on Identity Oriented Psychotrauma Theory (IoPT). He received his training from the founder and pioneers of this approach in Europe, who were esteemed professors and psychotherapists from Germany, Norway, England, and Romania. IoPT emphasizes on understanding the person and their experiences, rather than just treating symptoms. With over 1000 cases of group and individual therapy under his belt, Gerard has helped many individuals understand and overcome their struggles.
In addition, Gerard has experience in the social services sector, where he managed volunteers and organized public education talks in schools. He is passionate about mental health literacy and believes that it should be a basic human right. To support this cause, he regularly volunteers to facilitate well- being support groups.
Furthermore, Gerard’s personal experience with mental health struggles has made him more empathetic and compassionate towards others. He is dedicated to helping individuals overcome their personal struggles in a supportive and compassionate manner, assisting them in achieving their goals.
Susan Ong

Susan has had her life “restarted” numerous times with voracity to manage & overcome treatment- non-responsive severe depression & various anxieties, whilst continuing to pursue progressive treatments & be involved in mental health research. She has been re-igniting her life passions of learning, unlearning, relearning & creativity, establishing her personal brand of resilience & recovery aids.
Conquering self-stigma & significantly benefitting from peer support programmes, she grows into an active advocate & educator for mental health, earnestly promoting awareness, recovery education & peer support. As a pioneer in the local peer support scene, she co-produced the Peer Support framework, code of ethics & safety protocols. She passionately believes in the essentiality of practicing good mental, physical & social hygiene, as they are intrinsically intertwined & pertinent to illness prevention & management.

Muhammad Bin Abdul Majid

Muhammad Bin Abdul Majid is a dedicated counsellor with a strong passion and focus on supporting individuals in their spiritual and emotional journeys. He is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Counselling, specialising in trauma. He is actively involved inmates at Changi Prison, particularly those on death row. Recognising the unique challenges faced by individuals in such circumstances, he provides empathetic guidance and support to help them cope with their emotional struggles to come to terms with their situation and thus finding inner peace amidst their challenging circumstances.
Additionally, Muhammad leads a support group at Masjid Haji Mohd Salleh Geylang specifically for Muslim transgender individuals. Acknowledging the importance of creating inclusive spaces within the Muslim community, he fosters an environment of understanding, acceptance, and support. Through this group, he provides them with a safe space to share their experiences and seek guidance without judgment.
Muhammad is trained in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy. He believes that as he continues to expand his knowledge and refine his counselling skills, he is poised to make a profound difference in the lives of those he serves.
